New Braunfels Christian Academy was founded in 1981 by a
group of Christian parents who were seeking an alternative to
public education for their children. A rented house located at
576 Comal Street in New Braunfels held the first group of 30
pre-school, kindergarten, and first grade students. The school
grew steadily in enrollment, and additional grade levels were
included each year.
In 1987, with the help of the school board and parent
volunteers, the school continued its expansion by adding grades
six and seven. The middle school program was completed in
1991 by adding the eighth grade. A gym and classrooms were
built over the next few years to accommodate the expanding
enrollment.
In 1997, the ninth and tenth grades were added and steps were
taken to offer a complete high school program. The11th grade
was added in 1998 and the high school moved to T Bar M Sports
Camp. In May of 2000, commencement ceremonies were held for
the first graduating class. In January of 2007, the growing high school
and middle school programs moved onto a new secondary school
facility located on FM 1863.
NBCA continues to expand its programs and facilities every year.
From humble beginnings with 30 students, to now more than 500
PreK-3 through 12th graders, our mission has not changed.
To God be all the glory.
